  8.            QUESTION  : We've used Macsetup to establish a printq for a 
  9. Laserwriter under AppleTalk.  Everything looks good under Macsetup, but under 
  10. Pconsole it says there is no server attached to that queue.  The ApplePrinter 
  11. command says there are no printers connected and the ApplePrinter <name> 
  12. start command says "illegal name or maximum number of printers installed."  
  13. What are we doing wrong?

  15.              ANSWER  : The only thing that you really need to watch for is 
  16. getting the printer name correct in Macsetup.  Check the Qlist and Plist 
  17. Console commands for info on the Mac printers and queues.  Also make sure to 
  18. cover all options in the Install/Configure print services portion of Macsetup.  
  19. Pconsole should only be used to view the jobs in MAC queues, all other 
  20. functions should be handled by Macsetup.

  22. Things to watch for....jobs going to queue but not being printed, printer 
  23. <xxxxx> running off-line.  If either or both of these occur, check in this 
  24. order:  printer name must match EXACTLY, check for bad cables and connections, 
  25. bad NL1000 card.  Other than that, there is not a lot of things that can go 
  26. wrong.
